My equipment

Apart old times, when I used historical radios, last years I used:

Historically, the oldest radio that I used after receiving the license was a 2m tube radio - FM-302. Janusz SP3FLR (SK) prepared for me equipment with one or two channels.

Radio Alinco DR-110 (only FM).
This nice and simple radio worked perfectly on the 2 m band (144 MHz). But one day I desired to work in the 432 MHz band...

Two-band radio with FM modulation - ICOM 207H.
The ability to use two bands and control a lot of functions from the microphone was very convenient, especially during working from the car.

FT-290 - trx on 2m with FM, SSB, CW modulation.
I used together with a dedicated 10W amplifier.
It was on it, along with the SP6LB yagi antenna, that I took part in my first national and international VHF contests in the 144 MHz band.

YAESU FT-857.  It was my basic trx for a long time. Despite the drawbacks, very practical for field work and for various experiments in field and workshop. All-in-one radio, all short wave ranges and 6m, 2m, 70cm. Universal and excellent "all-in-one" radio. Of course, if the radio is for everything, it has very "universal" parameters.

I equipped the radio with a secure suitcase for transport, but it rarely looked there, it usually stood on the desk and worked as a stationary radio.

YAESU FT-60 is another member of the YAESU family.

Hand-held duobander, very practical. I don't really like the hand-held radio the size of a matchbox, I prefer how I feel that I hold it in my hand.
The FT-60 is just the way I like it.

Technical data can be found on the internet.

Now, I use:

YAESU FT-817

The second member of the FT-8x7 family, a small and handy radio.
For the first time I felt what a nice trx means :-).
Most often it is used for experimenting with other equipment and as a radio cooperating with transverters.

Elecraft K3

First, I thought for a long time, then I waited a long time for the package, and now I play with it.

I think K3 is enough for me for a long time. After clicking on the picture, you can read a little more about my K3.

Yaesu FT-736

In the autumn of 2013 I purchased the FT-736.
Relatively cheap alternative to transverters to 50 MHz, 144 MHz, 432 MHz, 1296 MHz bands.
My rig after retrofitting supports all of the above four wave ranges.

The appearance of this radio is as in the pictures below.

PA 2m (~150W)

My first amplifier at 2m (144 MHz). It has theoretically 160W. Can work on SSB and FM.
Additionally it is equipped with a preamplifier. I didn't find the original diagram, but you can see a diagram of a very similar design here
=>

HL-160V/50

Sockets visible in the photo are UC1. I replaced them with N type.

13.8V 20A switching power supply

PD£ 12/20 power supply. After one warranty repair, it has been working quite well for several years.

K3 walked on it without a problem. Now it is used as a back-up power supply.

13.8V 7A switching power supply

MPS-100-2 / 1 power supply. He has been working flawlessly for years.
Very similar design to PD£ 12/20.

Transformer power supply 13,8V 20A

Model RPS 1220.

I like this PS. It is rarely turned off. It usually powers K3. After adding a transil protecting against too high voltage at the output, I feel safe with it :-).
The green diode showing the existence of output voltage was installed myself.

The diagram can be viewed here:  =>

Hand-held radios

Alinco DJ-G7

(Description in preparation)

Alan 38

Old hand radio on the CB range. A bit worn-out and I rarely use it, but sometimes I take it on a journey.

Antennas and accessories

For the antennas that I use, used or plan to use, please visit the antennas section:  =>

   Antenna tuners:

MFJ-949E

Manual antenna tuner

SG-237

An investment that makes working with the M0PLK antenna easier.

CG-3000

Designed to work with a stationary, wire antenna, lives on the roof by the chimney :-).

Rotators

G-450XL

Since autumn 2014, it has been turning the 70 cm and 23 cm antennas.

Conrad (AR-303)

Conrad-type rotators turned out to be a necessary evil in my case. At some point I decided to invest in Yaesu G-450XL achieving full comfort. One of conrad-like rotator turns the antenna for 2 m, but the SPID RAK rotator has already been ordered.

Other devices

In addition to the above-mentioned equipment, I use factory-made and home-made and measuring devices, accessories and other useful devices.
The latest section that is starting to develop on this site is the MICROWAVES section  MIKROFALE.

You can view the description of other equipment by browsing   PROJEKTY i RADIOSHACK, and the following informatiom:

Transverter 70 MHz (SP2DMB)

Ready construction purchased from Piotr SP2DMB with the appropriate PA. Currently waiting for the antenna. For lack of space, it will be a 4 m / 6 m dual band antenna: (http://www.g0ksc.co.uk/8el-208-mtr-boom.html).

To be continued...
